Looking for a pub close by Edinburgh that offers a wide choice of gluten free meals?  Well the Bridge Inn in Linlithgow could be your next stop.

We enjoyed a hot summer evening dinner at the Bridge Inn and were impressed by the range of GF they have.  Almost everything, including mac & cheese, burgers, pizza, steaks and prepared meals are either entirely GF or are available as GF.  And – importantly – the chips are cooked in a separate fryer.

When I ordered a chicken Caesar salad and asked for no croutons, I was told (with a very friendly smile) that they would make GF croutons for me.  Such service!

With a side of chips I was very well set up for my summer meal and I can tell you, we’ll be back.  As my health is a bit off this week after a contamination at the weekend, I didn’t feel up to a pudding, but they even excel there!  They had a gorgeous looking pavlova, strawberries and cream, sticky toffee pudding (yep!), a wide range of ice creams and not a GF brownie in sight.

The service is astoundingly efficient and super-friendly and I highly recommend it.  We will be going back in the winter to enjoy the gorgeous pub inside.
