Eating good quality gluten free food, mainly in Edinburgh

This place continues to delight. And since my last visit, the superb people at Wedgwood have produced a specifically gluten free menu, making choices even easier. You can read my previous review here.

wedge2The terrific quality gluten free bread plus personal dipping oil, followed by a stunning and particularly beautiful meal, means this place stays in my top five for gluten free restaurants in Edinburgh.  Add to that the really great company of favourite family people visiting Edinburgh, and my lunch was just wonderful.

A starter of smoked salmon with capers and beetroot was like a work of art, with subtlety in flavours pitched against dramatic colouring.

This was followed by a jumble of chicken, pesto, green beans and pancetta, with cubed potatoes – another delicious dish that kept the delight coming.  Some spritzy and zingy Sicilian organic wine went well with this dish and brought the feeling of a summer garden to the table.  I could not get enough of any of this …
